Can Women Build? You bet we can! Women Build is about building homes for deserving families. • It's about promoting women as leaders in our community. • It's about providing women the opportunity to learn new skills, under the guidance of skilled female and male tradespersons. Do you build? Have you always wanted to build? Then here is your chance! Come and participate in our 2009 Women Build Event. You will be empowered, impassioned, learn a lot, have lots of fun, and take pride in working with other women and men, and a Habitat partner family, to build a place that they can call home.
					The Women Build event takes place at a townhouse sponsored by the family and friends of Lila Willis Beach. Lila has been an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region for many years, serving on the affiliate's Board of Directors from 1996 – 2002, including a term as Chair. Among her signature achievements was guiding the affiliate to the first All Women Build in Canada, sponsored by Home Depot in 2000. This Women Build event is a continuation of her legacy as a leader of “strong women making our community shine”.
